Batuhan Alper Bozkurt
Born in Istanbul in 2003, Batuhan Alper Bozkurt embarked on his musical journey in 2018,
beginning with piano studies. Within his first year, recognizing his deep passion for music,
he decided to pursue it professionally and began intensive music theory studies.
In 2023, Bozkurt ventured into composition and participated in the C.R.R. Composition
Academy from May to June. There, he studied under the guidance of distinguished faculty
including Dr. Armagan Durdag (Academy founder and director), Prof. Dr. Evrim Demirel,
and Prof. Dr. Hasan Ucarsu. Under Dr. Durdag's mentorship, Bozkurt composed "Anatolian
Lament" (Anadolu'ya Ağıt), which premiered at the C.R.R. Composition Academy Concert
held at Cemal ReÅŸit Rey Concert Hall on June 25, 2023.
Following his time at the academy, Bozkurt continued his musical education, studying
composition, counterpoint, and harmony under Davut Ozdemir. As of September 2024, he
is pursuing his studies in composition at Yıldız Technical University.
